  • Cancellations, Refunds, and Scheduling
    We understand that things don't always happen the way we plan and we will try our best to organize another date with you. If you really must cancel your party you must notify us as soon as possible. If the birthday child falls sick, the party may be postponed at no extra cost. In the case that the party cancellation is by the Client’s decision, the following statements apply: All cancellations made prior to your event will result in forfeiting of your whole deposit. A rescheduled party must be within 3 months of the party date. Once the Entertainer has performed and left the venue no refunds of any sort will be given unless extreme instances have occurred. In the event of extreme weather, serious illness, or other unforeseen extremities, we reserve the right to cancel the event and offer an alternative date. If a performer feels unsafe during a party situation, they have a right to leave and no refund will be given. Cancellations within 48 hours of the party will not be eligible for rescheduling nor refund. All Deposit Retainers are non-refundable. Please note that you are not able to transfer your booked event to another client, however you are able to change the "guest of honour" to another recipient.
  • Payment
    The Client understands that an upfront 50% deposit fee is due within 48 hours after booking. This deposit can be paid via bank transfer or through PayPal. The Client also understands that if the deposit is not paid, the booking will be cancelled. Your Booking is not confirmed without a deposit, with no guarantee of your party date availability staying open before this time. The remaining balance must be paid before your party date by any of the previous methods. If any gratuity is given (which is optional but much appreciated by our performers), it must be given in Cash, in a place where no children are around, or in an envelope. The deposit is an acknowledgement that you agree to all of the terms and conditions discussed on this page. The remaining 50% balance may be paid any time up until the day before your party. The performance/party cannot begin unless you are fully paid.
  • Photography
    If you do not wish to have your party photos or videos posted on our website or used for promotion and advertising, please let us know prior to the party. Otherwise, we reserve the right to post your party photos as an example of our parties. The addition of our Birthday Party Entertainers, you may book an Add-On experience of a photographer for your event. Clients may photograph the characters at their party at any time, though the characters will arrange a posed photo-op at the end of their performance.
  • Performance
    The client agrees to provide all necessary tables and chairs, décor, food, drink and cake as Little Princess Parties will not supply these for you. Air conditioning or a heater will be provided to the entertainer in uncomfortable weather conditions. If rain occurs and the event has been scheduled outdoors, the client is responsible for arranging an indoor alternative or the entertainment will be cancelled without refund of deposit. If you cannot supply the aforementioned please notify us prior to the party.
  • Allergies
    The client must inform Little Princess Parties of any allergies to food or products such as latex, acrylics, temporary tattoos or face paints prior to the event or party. The Client understands that Little Princess Parties is not responsible for allergic reactions to any costumes, cosmetics, accessories or any food and beverages not supplied by Little Princess Parties consumed before, during or after the party. It is the responsibility of the Client and all parents and guardians to inform Little Princess Parties of any allergies and take the appropriate steps to avoid contact with such items.
  • Damages
    All pets must be contained and kept away from the party area during the time you've booked our service. In the case that the client, a member of the client’s family, or the family pet soils, stains or rips a costume in any way the client will be responsible for compensating all costs to clean, repair or replace the costume. Please do not serve any food/drinks during the characters visit. Serving food after the departure of a character is a great distraction from the sadness of them leaving. Food or food remnants may not be near the character or their supplies at any time.
  • Lice, Colds, and Contagious Viruses/Illnesses"
    The performer will not perform if any guest or child at the party has lice. The performer has the right to leave if it is discovered that any child has lice. If a guest invited to the party is ill and highly contagious we recommend having the child not attend the party. In the case that the child can no longer attend due to an illness, let us know and we can organise a personalised letter or video. If the child has a cold, we encourage the child to participate however we recommend that you are wary of your child's actions to ensure that your child does not spread the cold to our performer(s) or any other guests at the party.   • Late Fees
    If final remaining balance is not paid, a late fee will be added onto your bill for each day your balance is not paid. This fee can differ for the size of your event, but starts at $10CAD a Day. Reminder that your Remaining Balance must be paid the day before your party or event.
  • Last Minute Bookings
    If making a last minute booking where your party or event takes place within a week of the booking date, a late fee may be added onto your bill. This fee can range for your specific party or event - and how much preparation or customization you may be requesting. Last Minute Booking Fees start at $25CAD Last minute bookings require the full payment at the time of booking
  • Travel Fees
    A Travel fee is added to every Party or Event past 20 minutes away of 0.60 Cents a km. Please contact us for your quote.
  • Face Painting
    Face Painting can be included with our princess party packages. Please note that no superhero characters face paint in any of their party packages. Our Party Packages include a set number of children. Please be aware if you have upgraded to more children, face painting will take longer, making less time for the other activities. In this case, you have the option to choose to remove face painting, switch to nail painting or tattoos, or add a Party Assistant or secondary Character. You may also remove the other activities if you would rather a focus on the face painting Prepare 3-6 minutes for each face being painted.
  • Food
    No Food may be served during our visit. Please wait until our departure to serve any snacks, food, or drinks. The Character may take part in "Happy Birthday" with notice. If any costume damages incur due to the presence of food, client will be billed for proper cleaning.
  • Party Location
    We may attend parties all across Atlantic Canada. Please be aware of our Travel fees. The party may be held in any family friendly place such as a Home, Community Center, Hall, Play Place, Swimming Center, Bowling Alleys, Churches, Schools, Daycares, Sport Centers, Party Specialty Locations, Hotels, and much more. Please keep us updated to your party address if there may be any changes - failure to do so may result on the loss of your performance. in this case, no refund shall be given. Note that our characters cannot perform outdoors in rainy weather - more notes regarding this is located in the "Outdoor Parties" Tab
  • Character Outfit
    Some of our many characters offer different outfit options or theming. Please mention at the time of booking if you have an outfit preference for your chosen character. If one is not given, we will send the seasonal standard. Please consider the climate when choosing your outfit choice (Heavy winter outfits in Summer cannot be done for the safety of performers)
  • Other Entertainment
    Our Princesses cannot perform with un-approved Character or Entertainment companies in the area. Contact us if you are booking more than one entertainment company to find out if they are on our approved list. If you do not let us know and we arrive with an un-approved company present, Our characters have the right to leave, with no refund to the client. This includes adults that are dressed up in costume. This is a safety concern - We will only work with approved companies, that have fully trained and background checked staff. Bounce House - If you are also booking a bounce house for your party, please discuss this prior to your booking. We must approve the source of the bouncer and ensure all up-to-date information and safety concerns are as required. Characters are not permitted to enter a bounce house. Characters may request you "shut down" the bouncer in order to do their performance, especially in cases of noise or space concerns.
  • Arrival
    We recommend booking the performer to arrive at least 15-30 minutes after the party is scheduled to begin. This is to ensure that any party guests that may be stuck in traffic won't miss the magic! Once the character arrives please do not bring your children out to see the character, seeing their favourite character arrive in a car will break the magic. The character will knock on your door when they are ready to come inside. In the case that the client does not answer the door, the performer will ring your phone three times. If the door is not answered within 15 minutes, the performer has the right to leave. Any lost time due to the client delaying will not be made up for. If the client does not answer the door the client will not be refunded. We do ask for ~15 minutes of wiggle room for character arrival at the scheduled beginning of your party to account for travel and disinfection between venues!
  • Gratuity
    Do Characters accept tips? Sure! Tips are always very appreciated and lets the performer know that they have done a good job! We do ask however that any tips are not given in front of the children, and instead given to the performer on their way out, or given in an envelope as to not ruin the magic!
  • Outdoor Parties
    In hot weather, shade and water must be provided for the characters. Have water available for the character to drink throughout your party. The wigs and costumes are extremely hot and our characters need to stay hydrated. In cold weather an area shielded from the wind must be provided. The area that is provided for the characters must NOT be muddy or wet. In the event of rain, please have a backup plan settled as we will not perform in poor weather conditions.
  • Indoor Parties
    Venues must have air conditioning. In hot weather the A/C must be set a few degrees cooler than usual (keep in mind whilst you may be comfortable, the performers are dressed head to toe in wigs and hot undergarments). Please also have water available for the character to drink throughout your party.
  • Food
    Please ensure that you serve your food before we arrive or after our exit and leave the cake until the end. This is to ensure the children do not become distracted and miss out on something exciting! Any damages to costumes due to food, will be covered by the client. Please do not have any foods out while the character is present.
  • Equipment
    Make sure to have a chair set up for each character, a table and a cleared area for the children to sit in front of the character for games and performance. we recommend moving aside any small furniture to create more room for activities. The characters will arrive ready with all other supplies they need for your selected package. Please note they only bring supplies for the amount of confirmed children included in your package (plus and upgrades).
  • Misbehaving Children
    Be available to aid the performer if issues arise with children misbehaving. If children are misbehaving, please have the parent/guardian remove their child from the activity until they have calmed down. You as the hostess/host, or the child’s guardian, are responsible for any behavior problems or issues during a Party. Our Characters will not assume responsibility for providing any disciplinary action during a party. In order to continue to deliver and offer a magical and wonderful experience for your Princess Party, our Princesses will need to focus on the Little Princesses that are following the rules and behaving properly during the party. As for adults attending a Princess Party, it is up to the hostess/host to maintain a "Princessey" atmosphere. The Princesses are not able to talk or sing over disruptive attendees.
  • Departure
    Unfortunately there is always the time where the character needs to go. This can be an upsetting time for the children. To ensure that the children are not too disappointed, make sure to plan an exciting activity to occur directly after the character's departure. Please ensure that the children do not follow the character out to their car as this will ruin the magic!
  • Cancellations, Refunds, and Rescheduling
    We understand that things don't always happen the way we plan and we will try our best to fix any issues. If you really must cancel your event please notify Little Princess Parties as soon as possible. In the case that the party cancellation is by the Client’s decision, the following statements apply; All Deposits for Events are Non-Refundable. You may Transfer to an Alternate Date pending Availability. Once the Entertainer has performed and left the venue no refunds of any sort will be given unless extreme instances have occurred. In the event of extreme weather or other unforeseen extremities, we reserve the right to cancel the event and offer an alternative date. Please let us know 48 hours in advance of any cancellations to qualify for a reschedule.
  • Payment
    An upfront 50% deposit fee is due within 48 hours after confirming booking. This deposit can be paid via bank transfer, Cheque, Square or through PayPal. If the deposit is not paid the booking will be cancelled. All bookings made less than a week prior to the event require the payment to be paid in full upfront. All event bookings less than 3 hours long are required to be paid upfront and in full for Large Events.
  • Performance
    It is up to the client to supply a sound system (if the event requires). The client must provide all necessary tables and chairs, décor, food, drink and cake as Little Princess Parties will not supply these for you. If rain occurs and the event has been scheduled outdoors, the client is responsible for arranging an indoor alternative or rain shelter or the entertainment will be cancelled without refund of deposit.
  • Parking
    Parking is to be provided by the event co-ordinator. One parking space for each character is ideal, unless previously discussed.
  • Breaks
    Events less than two hours long do not require breaks. For three hour events or longer, a fifteen minute break must be provided halfway through the event. For events longer than three hours, 30 minute breaks must be provided every two hours. If a break is around lunch time, the break must be half an hour long. If food is not accessible without travelling further than five minutes away from the venue, the break provided must be an hour long. The break area must be out of sight, air conditioned and have drinkable water available. Or alternatively, (if you have booked multiple characters) characters can be swapped. Have a few characters on for an hour, whilst you have the other characters off.
  • Outdoor Events
    In hot weather, shade and water must be provided for the characters. In cold weather an area shielded from the wind must be provided. The area that is provided for the characters must NOT be muddy or wet. In the event of rain, clients must have a prepared backup location as we will not perform in rainy weather.
  • Indoor Events
    Venues must have air conditioning. In hot weather the A/C must be set a few degrees cooler than usual (keep in mind whilst you may be comfortable, the performers are dressed head to toe in costumes, wigs and hot undergarments).
  • Stage Performance
    In the case that a visit requires a staged performance, the event coordinator must provide all audio equipment (microphones and sound system), Unless otherwise discussed with a representative of Little Princess Parties. If you are interested in a Stage Performance, Please Let us know which type (Dance, Song, or Skit), and If you would like it to be in only English, or English and French.
